Gulnara Neglyadenko was born in 1960 and now lives in Staryi Krym, Crimea.
The artworks of the master are born in moments of inspiration in a bold combination of the author's idea with the canons of Crimean Tatar folk art.
In her artworks, the artist looks for and finds a balance between the ancient and the modern. Tradition for her is not something static, but eternal meanings and technologies, polished over the centuries, that should be understood as a bridge between the past and the present.
Her favorite area of creativity is the creation of decorative panels, saturated with Crimean Tatar symbols, but speaking to the viewer in a modern figurative language.
She is a pioneer in the Crimean Tatar technique of mihlam embroidery, having been the first to use colored silk threads among the metallic ones.
The craftswoman also creates household items and components of the Crimean Tatar traditional clothing decorated with “Ornek” symbols.
She is a member of the creative association “Chatyr-Dag”
